Athenian Days is an Athens-based lecturing, guiding and travel consultancy and planning service for travellers to Athens.  It offers lectures and presentations on life in ancient and modern Greece to large and small groups, conducts talks and personal and individual guided tours of antiquities in Athens for small groups, particularly individual travellers on short break holidays to Athens or on extensions to their main holiday programme.  In addition, it offers a hosting and entertainment service for Athens-based businesses with short-stay business guests to host.  It also offers advice on planning a visit to Athens or the surrounding area and is ideal for travellers planning the extension in Athens to their main holiday programme elsewhere.  

Overview of Our Services

Large Group Lectures and Presentations: We offer tailor-made lectures and presentations on Greek history and life to larger study groups, such as school, undergraduate, conference, alumni or cultural tourism groups.

Small Group Talks and Guided Tours: We also offer talks, with supporting material, to small groups, of usually not more than six, in the informal surroundings of a picturesque pavement cafe in the heart of Athens.  The talk is then followed by a personal, individual guided tour, conducted by one of our guides, of a site relevant to the theme of the talk.  

Among the topics on offer are the private life of the ancient Athenians, Greek sport, Greek architecture, religion and the Greek theatre.  However, we are happy to design a package that represents the interests of individual clients.  Please contact us for details.  

This service is ideal for travellers who have only a limited time at their disposal and who want a deeper insight in to Greece than what is usually on offer.

Visit Planning: For your time in Athens, we can plan an overall programme individually tailored to your personal interests and cultural needs for all, or just some of your stay, independently or in conjunction with your own travel agent.  Again, this service is ideal for independent travellers with limited time.  It is also ideal for travellers who are planning an extension in Athens to the main body of their holiday.
